It has been quite a few years since we last visited Bluestone but we have been meaning to return for some time as we had such an amazing stay in 2015. Big little was 2 and little little wasn’t even thought of yet. We were excited to be gifted a stay as part of the Bluestone blogger program. We arrived at the resort around tea time. We had a very straight forward check in with a very helpful member of staff and were directed to our lodge accommodation. It was not what we expected. It was over and above our expectations. It was huge. My 7 year old said it was like a mansion! At the top of the road a huge lodge. We stayed in a Tenby style lodge which has 2 twin bedrooms and a double bedroom (with en suite). Everything is on the ground floor bar the master bedroom, which is huge by the way! Massive! There is a small patio area outdoors. As we were at the top of the road it was so very peaceful and we had a great view from the bedroom too.
The lodge is very well equipped with everything you could think of. Dishwasher, hoover, clothes horse, iron and ironing board, high chair, travel cot, stair gates…. 100% child friendly. They also have a bin just for nappies do that they can be recycled rather than going to landfill. How fab is that! As it was getting late last night we stayed around the lodge relaxing on the very comfortable sofas. We downloaded the Bluestone app to look at the facilities and activities so that we could plan out the next few days. We couldn’t wait to head to the Blue Lagoon and the Serendome.
If you head over to my Instagram you can check out the stories in my highlights. Find out what we got up to on day 2.
