Pranamat Eco massage set

Back in the Autumn I was lucky to work with Pranamat Eco on one of their amazing acupressure massage sets. I have been regularly using the mat before writting this post so that I can give a fair and honest review of the product. This is a collaborative post and as always all the thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion. The factual information I have provided is that which came with my Pranamat set.

When I received the Pranamat Eco set I posted it to my Instagram stories with a question box. I will write this as a Q&A because it will answer everyone’s questions whilst also giving my own feedback. There were lots of questions and lots of similar themes so I have tried to group them together.

What is a Pranamat Eco set?

The Pranamat Eco is an acupressure mat that you can use at home to relieve headaches and migraines, muscle tension and can improve quality of sleep. Massage has so many benefits for your well-being and this is something you can use in your own home.

How does the Pranamat Eco work?

When you lay down on the Pranamat each little pressure point massages your back., Increasing blood and lymphatic flow from the first minute you use it. Massage has multiple benefits for the body. It increases blood flow to improve oxygen and nutrient levels in the circulation. Massage also stimulates endorphins which are the body’s natural painkillers. Back pain is a common problem and regularly using the Pranamat Eco massage set can decrease the inflammatory process helping to alleviate chronic back pain.

What is it made from?

100% HIPS plastic, hypoallergenic and ecological, approved by the European Union. 100% linen, dyed with natural hypoallergenic dye. 100% natural cotton. Natural coconut fiber, supportive and safe.

What do you do with it?

For me I like to lay the Pranamat Eco mat on my bed for my upper body and have the Pranamat Eco pillow under my neck. I lay on the mat for around 15-20 minutes. I usually listen to some music and use the time to try and switch off from the day. Sometimes I do a bit of blog editing while getting my massage!

Does it hurt?

The first time I tried it I was very excited so I whipped my top off and lay on the mat. It was VERY intense. I popped a thin t shirt back on and found that better. After a few sessions I felt I wanted to remove my t shirt and when I did this time it was less intense. I think I felt nervous but when I allowed my body to relax it was a deeply pleasant sensation. Like a warmth spreading through my back. I love it now.

Is it good for back pain?

My main problem is upper back pain between my shoulders. After regularly using the Pranamat the pain has greatly reduced or is not there at all. I do have to use it regularly to keep the benefit. When I was unwell a few weeks ago I didn’t use it for about 10 days and I found I was aching again. I will put some infographics below from the Pranamat website for your information. Is it expensive?

Well yes and no it depends how you look at it. The initial cost is a large amount BUT if you are regularly paying for massages then it will pay for itself in no time. Here is the link to the Pranamat UK page so you can check out their latest prices.

Would you recommend it?

Absolutely yes. Both me and my partner use it to help with our muscle tension with really good effect. I actually really enjoy the sensation of the accupressure points now and in fact I fell asleep last night using the Pranamat pillow on my neck and shoulders while watching TV!

So I know it’s been a while before I answered your questions but I personally feel it’s really important to use a product like this for many months to be able to give a full and honest review.
