Mama Bamboo. Product review.

We have been really excited to be given the opportunity to review some of the products from Mama Bamboo.

Mama Bamboo believe that all our babies deserve the best start in life. This is why they have developed natural, beautiful products that are free from harsh chemicals and gentle on baby’s soft skin. Bamboo is a highly sustainable material providing a quality product that is ecologically sustainable. They are confident they have reduced their environmental impact at every stage and have thoroughly researched their manufacturing and supply chains to ensure this. If you have any questions about Mama Bamboo or their suppliers they are happy for you to contact them with any questions.

The pack of gifts sent to us to review contained x1 pack biodegradable nappies. x1 pack of biodegradable wipes and a bamboo dinner set.

Bamboo biodegradable nappies. Size 5

The first thing I noticed was how soft the nappy feels. It also kept the skin dry and this is because bamboo is great at absorbing moisture. It also has natural antibacterial properties which reduces the risk of nappy rashes and irritation. The baby does have a tendency to irritated skin but these nappies have not caused him a problem at all. I love the soft elastic at the back of the nappy as it gives such a snug fit and if you’re gonna have a code brown blow out that’s where it’s usually heading (although if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that my baby likes to poop in the bath!) The nappies are very natural so are alcohol, PVC, latex and phthalates free and they only use ECF chlorine free pulp from sustainable sources. I think it’s fantastic that they can deliver an award winning product that also thinks about mother earth and our children’s future.

Bamboo 100% biodegradable wipes

They are very soft due to them using the softest bamboo fibres and they have a really pleasant smell. They are over 98% plant based and as with the nappies the bamboo has natural antibacterial properties reducing the risk of nappy rash or irritation. These are definitely the thickest wipes I have used as some wipes just move the soiling around and you have to use lots. Let’s talk dirty here, so 2 or 3 wipes managed to easily clean a soft code brown (TMI?) That’s what I’d want to know in a review. They are a bit more on the pricey side compared to other brands BUT the pack lasted far longer and if you buy in bulk you get a discount so I think it’s swings and roundabouts to be honest. These are the best wipes I have ever tried and I have tried quite a few. I honestly love them.

Bamboo dinner set

Made from 70% MOSO Bamboo and corn starch, Mama Bamboo’s dinner sets meet all EU standards for FCM and are dishwasher safe. They cannot be used in the microwave.

The dinner set includes a plate, bowl, cup, fork and spoon. There are 8 different designs to collect and we received Gonza the Gorilla. There is also a card to tell you a little bit about Gonzas story and a certificate of ownership which is really cute. The baby was thrilled by the dinner set as you can clearly see and he absolutely loves using the fork. I think it makes him feel like one of us and in fact he is really coming along with feeling himself as I think he finds the fork easier.

For each set sold, Mama Bamboo makes a donation to the World Wildlife Fund.

It’s a big thumbs up all round from us Mama Bamboo. Thank you so much for the gifts we love them.

Keep an eye out for more of my product reviews guys and let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to review for you. I’m hoping to do some more days out reviews now that the weather has broken. See you all next time.

Love and peace xx
