We are Family

Hey guys. I have been invited to participate in a Thanksgiving special to write a post each day until Thanksgiving for things I am grateful for. I have so much to be grateful for in my life so it’s an easy write. I will write them in no particular order. They will be a little shorter than usual as there will be a few more blogs this week.Screenshot_20181120_204017Firstly, my partner is fab. In fact he probably deserves a medal the shit he has had to put up with from me sometimes. Let’s just say I can be a little bit led by my emotions at times. He has supported me through 2 episodes of depression, the most recent being by far the most difficult for me. He is patient when I am being fussy and tolerates lots of my nonsense. Don’t get me wrong he’s not a bloody Saint! But I am so grateful for him to be in my life. He has an amazing sense of humour and makes me laugh daily. He has the most rotting smelling bum and it’s testimony that I love him because after he’s been in the bathroom for 20mins I want to burn it down!Screenshot_20181120_204149

My children. I’ll start with my 2 eldest. The gamer 16 and the princess 12. These are my bonus children and how lucky am I that they are great kids! I think I was a pretty difficult step child myself until I was much older but these two are fab. I mean they are great kids all round. They have miles of patience with my 6year old and boy does he push it sometimes! It’s also lovely to have another girl in the house because I’m outnumbered here, even the dog is a boy! She is also a fantastic helper especially with the baby. We won’t discuss the tidiness of her bedroom but you can’t have all hey! The minion 6 and the munchkin 11 months. Are my 2 teeny tiny blessings. I love how much they adore each other and have started to play now that the baby is bigger. They make each other laugh and us laugh. These are the reasons I get out of bed every day. They are my raison d’etre.Screenshot_20181120_205038.jpg

The babies face though!!

My parents and sister have given me so much support over the years. From failed tests to teenage heartbreaks to grown up problems. My parents especially, helped me out so much with my first son when he was teeny. I don’t know how I would have ever managed without their support. I really don’t. Just recently I broke my arm and my mum came to stay and help every day that my partner went to work. She is a bloody superhero that woman I tell you.Screenshot_20181120_205256.jpg
